2008 Summer Sunday League Accepting Teams
The BWCS is now accepting registrations for the 2008 Sunday Summer leagues.
The midweek league is full. The Sunday League offers a full
schedule of games. Every effort is made to have games
scheduled at or as close as possible to the times and locations of
your choice. At bats begin with 0-0 counts and Sunday League
playoffs are best 2 out of 3 series. PLEASE see the "Hot
Corner" page for details. You can register on-line by selecting the
"League Forms" link on the left. It is also MANDATORY for all captains of the
2008 Summer teams to
sign up for the league email list. Please use the link for
"BWCS Newsletter" and subscribe to the "BWCS News -
Summer". This will allow you to receive all of the
important email broadcasts regarding league news and information.
It is also suggested that a couple of your teammates sign up as
a backup in case the captain is not available.

BWCS Rules Information
The BWCS is based on a combination of ASA rules and our own BWCS
Rules Document. This includes bans on bats that are not
clearly labeled "Does Not Exceed 1.20 BPF"AND all Illegal
Bats specified by the ASA.
Introduction
Boston West Coed Softball is a fun and competitive adult coed
slow-pitch softball league in the greater Boston, Newton, and
Waltham area. We have
openings for teams and players from novice to advanced levels of
play. All games are umpired.

Playoff Tie Breakers
BWCS uses the following tie breakers to determine
seeding for the playoff. Please remember that a player is only
eligible to play in the playoffs if he/she played at least FOUR
regular season games. Using an ineligible player will result
in a forfeit:

Quality Wins (Wins against
other playoff teams)

Looking for Good Umpires
BWCS is on the lookout for reliable individuals
interested in umpiring in our League. You do not need to be certified,
but should have a good knowledge of ASA rules and our League Rules.
You also must have good communication skills and a positive attitude. Please
